Title: Her Father Author: ~Anon~
You threw a ring at her mother Just minutes after she was born, saying "Wear it on any finger you want." You started a fight On her very first birthday Making it all about you. You left on her first fourth of July And when all the other kids' fathers Where holding sleepy children And cuddling with their wives You were gone, selling pills. You broke her mother's screen door A day before her first easter And left. She's a child, Yet you scream when she cries She's a baby, Yet you talk like she's an adult She's your daughter, But you act like you're not her father Comments on "Her Father "
