Older now I see sincere
what was once was fear is now the truth
a hand and leg, dismembered piece
constant drear, constant ghouls

A book invited Hell's coalition
or depression invited them all in
perhaps the brain caused such dark visions
context would suggest it did

Younger then, my mind was lost
what once was light had turned to dark
joyous were those carefree days
constant joy...till 9 o'clock

I cannot blame poor Alvin
for sharing his fright with me
perhaps I always wanted the dark
for now I let it reign o'er me.
